Rachel Hills

CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Rachel Hills is the Founder and Creative Director of Rachel Hills Design Co., a nationally recognized, award-winning interior design firm specializing in luxury residential projects across the U.S., with a strong focus on Lake Tahoe and California. Known for blending timeless elegance with modern sensibility, Rachel creates refined spaces that reflect each client’s lifestyle.

Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Luxe, and Sactown Magazine, and honored with top industry awards including the NKBA National Award, multiple NKBA California Chapter awards, the 2024 MAME Award for Best Custom Home over $2M, and the 2025 Sub-Zero/Wolf/Cove Kitchen Contest. She is also a finalist for the 2026 EuroCucina international competition in Milan.

Alongside her husband, Paul, Rachel co-owns The Hills Group, an architectural, construction, and real estate company in Northern California. Across all ventures, she balances creativity, technical expertise, and vision—designing homes that are as livable as they are beautiful.

Molly Allen

SENIOR DESIGNER

Molly brings over 7 years of design experience to her position as Senior Designer and collaborates closely with the design team to refine each project to perfection. Molly received her B.S. in Business Marketing from California State University Long Beach and her A.A. in Interior Design. Prior to joining the Hills Group she worked on high-end residential projects throughout Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and beyond. She is less interested in design trends and more interested in our client's interests, personalities and desired aesthetic. She strives to create interiors that carefully consider the architecture of the home, the surrounding landscape and the taste of the client. Molly currently lives in Granite Bay with her husband, daughter, and their rescue animals.

Amanda Seidel

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Ms. Seidel brings over 10 years of office administration experience to her position as the Operations Manager. She has an educational background in interior design and accounting, providing her with a specific set of skills highly suitable to her position. Amanda is responsible for start-to-finish project oversight and staff management, including budgeting and financials, product procurement, client communication, vendor relations, and contractor and subcontractor coordination. When she is not at work, you can find her coaching her daughter’s sports teams or lacing her cleats up to play soccer.

Emily Kerby

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Emily’s responsibilities support all members of the design team, keeping our office and projects moving smoothly. Emily plays a pivotal role, tracking project selections and maintaining our client interface program. Her other responsibilities include maintaining the design showroom, scheduling deliverables, administrative support to the executive team, and content creation for our social media. Outside of her job, Emily loves to thrift and style her own home while watching The Office.

Rory Briggs

CABINET SPECIALIST

Rory is a 3rd generation cabinet designer with over 20 years of experience in the art of designing and building custom cabinetry. His expertise and attention to detail with cabinet layouts and styles guarantees both function and beauty throughout the home.
